Walk in Light

The great light of the world is Jesus Christ. In this verse He tells us that we are “light in the Lord” and we are to "walk as children of light".

• Refection

The Lord Jesus Christ has ascended into to Heaven and we are to reflect Him.

The Bible says in Matthew 5:14-16 "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

• Road

In verse 10 it says, "Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord." As we walk on the Road of life we must walk in His light. Have you ever walked a place of uncertainty? We need to prove each step we take. Take a look at the following verses of Scripture.

1 John 4:1 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We need to be in Gods word to know Gods will.

Psalm 119:105 - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path
Verse 130 - The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Proverbs 6:23 - For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

We don’t always like the commandments and the instructions but they keep us on the right road.

• Reprove

As we walk in the will of God we will reprove the works of darkness. The word "reprove" means to admonish, convict, convince, tell a fault or rebuke.

We should not be afraid to correct. We should not be afraid to rebuke but make sure it is according to Scripture.

2 Tim 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Men and woman around us should be convicted by our life in Christ.

Young people remember as you walk in this life you are to walk in the light. You are to be a REFLECTION walking on the accepted ROAD, REPROVING others of their sin.
