Personal Evangelism (1)

How are we going to turn many to righteousness or to Christ?

• Giving away a tract, sermon, bible etc
• Walking the talk
• Witnessing
• Door to door
• Missionary
• Asking someone to Church

Before we take on the job of witnessing we must remember that this is Christ’s mission. See 1 Tim 1:15

We are only instruments in the hands of God.

John 16:8 tells us that conviction of sin lays with the Holy Spirit.

It is God who gives repentance. Acts 5:31, 11:18

The salvation we believe in is a God centred salvation. John 6:44

John 1:13 tell us that it is Gods prerogative to bring about the new birth.

It is from the scriptures that man must come to, to gain the truth. 2 Tim 3:15

We need the scripture. 2 Tim 3:16-17

Acts 2:37 inform us that the scriptures bring about conviction of sin. See 1 Pet 1:23

The word of God is important in the work of personal evangelism – see Rom 10:17

We need to be a student in the word of God. 2 Tim 2:15

Do we have a heart like Christ as in Matt 9:36?

Do we see people as God sees them?

Has God touched our emotions as shown in Acts 20:31?

Do we know great sorrow? See Rom 9:1-2

Do we long to see others saved? Rom 10:1

Are we available and ready for the service of God? 2 Tim 2:20-21
