Lifesong
Did you know that our solar system makes its own music?!? I found out recently that our planet Earth, along with all the other planets and even the moon, actually create a pitch of sound as they continue in their orbit. Scientific fact.
This made me think, not of the background science relating to the topic, but rather to the creation of the planets and more importantly, their Creator. The bible says in Colossians 1:16 – "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth…..all things were created by Him, and for Him." All things were created by God…that’s a given. However, all things were not only created by God…but they were created FOR GOD.
God also created music…He gave us music as a means whereby to praise Him, we could say that God enjoys music, because he desires it to be used to His praise. With this in mind, I like to think that this is the reason behind the music created by the planets. Don’t you think it’s interesting that even the planets recognise the power and majesty or their creator...that continually they praise Him through this means.
If all of creation daily rings out the praise of the Almighty, what does this mean to us? As Christians, we have a special relationship to God that none else can ever have. Jesus didn’t shed His Blood to save the moon, or the planets, or even the angels, but to save us. Day and daily, as the planets do, our lives should, must, ring out praise to God. How can we do this?
Worship by Music: God has given us the gift of music, and it is so important that we use it to praise Him. Young people…when we attend Church on a Sunday, or any other time, it’s not a choice you can make whether you bother to open your mouth and take part in the singing and praise of God. If your saved, and have a love for God, what does the bible say to you? "God is a spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth". The bible doesn’t say that you can worship, or worship if you feel like it, it says MUST. Is He not worthy of your praise? He gave you that tongue which your not using to praise Him!
Worship by Lifesong: The titlle of this entry is 'Lifesong', but what does this mean? Thinking of the 'song' the planets create to the praise of God in their orbit, so our lives should create a tune sweet to the Lords ears. The term 'Lifesong' refers to the praise that the living of your life should give to God. Be conscious that in every action you make, your life is either praising God, or grieving His Spirit. Our love for the Lord should be such that our lives should reflect this love. When we see Jesus, and we ought to see Jesus – we ought to see him during our quiet times, during the preaching of the Word of God, to see Him daily in creation – when we see Jesus, it ought to cause us to want to worship Him. Look at Matthew 28 v 16-17. Jesus had been crucified and as far the disciples knew, He was dead. Notice their reaction when they seen Him in v 17 – "And when they saw Him, they worshipped Him:".
The Lord Jesus Christ became sin for us. 2 Corinthians 5:21 "For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew know sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." The Lord Jesus paid the price for our sin...so that we can share in His glory. That's mind-blowing...we can never understand why Jesus would do that...but, we can live our lives as lifes of praise for His Glory.

Reveltation 4 : 10-11
The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
